Check Out The 2012 DFW Dragon Boat, Kits and Lantern Festival Tomorrow!

The Chinese lantern was the first historically documented portable light in the world. Lanterns are displayed at the Chinese New Year Festival and the August Moon Festival. They are made in many shapes and sizes from small and simple spheres to intricate designs with portraits of historical figures, pictures of legends and landscapes and beautiful calligraphy.

Be sure to see all of the great sights at this year's annual festival, taking place on May 20 at Lake Carolyn, where the festival will be located at the Las Colinas Urban Center. Come early, as space will fill up quickly, and for more information, call Canal Side Lofts at (469) 844-5709!
